I grew up in a large, musical family in a small town in southeastern Arizona. My parents saw to it that all their children had piano lessons from around the age of 10 years old through high school.  After graduating high school in 2002 I attended Pensacola Christian College for two and half years where I continued my music education. It was while I was in college that I had the opportunity to take a class in piano tuning and repair. Though it was more of an introductory class, it was something I knew I wanted to learn more about and possibly pursue a career in. Well, life got busy and tuning was placed on the back burner. I was able to tune a piano here and there for some churches or friends, but still lacked the training I needed to be able to offer any services of real value.

In 2014 I and my family moved to Kentucky and settled in Todd county where I took a job with a local lumber mill stacking lumber, but I was still wanting to learn more about piano technology, so in 2015 after 10 years of being on the back burner I decided it was to time to start cooking! I enrolled in a correspondence course with the Randy Potter School of Piano Technology. Randy Potter is a world renowned Piano technician who has studied piano technology all over the world with some of the finest tuner/technicians in the industry. He started his program to be able to pass on his knowledge to people like me who did not have the ability to get an apprenticeship or attend a piano technology school. He currently has students and graduates in over 90 countries around the world. Through this program I was able to take my skills to the next level. Though being far from world renowned, I am continuously advancing my knowledge and skills through experience in the field and as an associate member of the Piano Technicians Guild where I get hands on training through regular monthly meetings in Nashville with other piano technicians. I plan to keep on learning and improving my abilities as long as there is more to be learned, which I'm sure there is always more.
